Elsa MAARAWI

Bio

PhD candidate in Sociology at the Université Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens (CURAPP-ESS), her research is on Social trajectories of Syrian families in transit in Lebanon and resettled in the north of France, under the supervision of Annabelle Allouch (UPJV/CURAPP-ESS) and Kamel Doraï (CNRS/Migrinter). Before doing her PhD, she worked in the humanitarian and development sector from 2010 to 2020 in Syria, Lebanon, Chad and Haïti, in the field of international protection of refugees and gender.

She holds a MA in Political Science “International cooperation, humanitarian action and development policies” of the Sorbonne Université (Paris 1 - 2010), as well as a first year of Master of Political Science Research “Conflict Regulation in Public Spaces” of UVSQ university (2007) and a first year of Master of “Administration and international relations” “Humanitarian action, development and NGO management” (Paris 12 - 2009)
